Europe-wide area potential analysis PV

Within the framework of an area potential analysis, we identify concrete locations that are suitable for the construction of PV free-standing installations and which are economically attractive for you. With the help of a complex analysis model, we identify suitable areas for free-standing PV systems on the basis of regionally typical locations of existing facilities, taking into account country-specific and other criteria. The identified potentials are evaluated according to economic site conditions, such as the size and layout of the area, distance to the nearest medium-voltage grid and solar irradiance.

In our interactive map you can see the result of an area potential analysis for ground-mounted PV systems around the city of Montabaur in Germany. All potential areas with a size of at least two hectares are shown, classified according to the possible annual electricity yield in kWh/kWp. In addition, you can view the potential areas along highways and railways separately and find detailed information on all existing plants in the area under consideration.

Within the framework of an area potential analysis, we identify concrete locations that are suitable and attractive for the construction of wind turbines. For this purpose, we use our extensive GIS-based databases and take into account a large number of specific exclusion criteria. For an evaluation of the area potentials according to economic site conditions, we use our spatially high-resolution weather data as well as information such as slope inclination.
