Aaron-Christoph Frehlich is analyst and has been with r2b energy consulting since 2024. 

As an expert in geoinformation systems, he supports consulting projects with a particular focus on GIS-supported spatial analyses and geodata management. 

Prior to joining r2b energy consulting, Aaron worked as a working student at our subsidiary solarea GmbH since 2023, where he gained extensive experience in the analysis and modelling of spatial data. His main focus was on the development and optimization of GIS models as well as the expansion and management of spatial databases on a national and European level. 

During his geography studies, Aaron expanded his expertise in various fields, including ecosystem and climate research. In his master’s thesis, he combined his academic knowledge and professional experience by investigating transformation processes in the Rhine mining area – from the coal industry to an innovative, climate-neutral energy supply. As part of his master’s thesis, Aaron modelled wind energy potential areas, considering possible planning and legal adjustments. He evaluated the potential areas using various scenarios and considered economic, ecological and socio-economic factors to develop an economic and sustainable expansion strategy.
