Fabian Roloff is senior consultant and has been with r2b energy consulting since 2022.  

As an expert in electromobility, Fabian oversees issues relating to the future electricity market and grid integration of electromobility, the optimal (green) electricity supply for charging infrastructure, and the role of electromobility as decentralised flexibility in the electricity system. His other key areas of his work at r2b include model-based development of industrial and commercial power supply and decarbonisation strategies, as well as European markets for control reserves and guarantees of origin.  

In the context of political projects, Fabian focuses primarily on electricity market design and security of supply in European electricity markets. 

Before joining r2b, Fabian gained extensive expertise in energy economics and energy policy issues as a research assistant at the Institute of Energy Economics at the University of Cologne (EWI), and at the German Institute of Development and Sustainability (IDOS). He studied economics and political science in Cologne and Amsterdam.
